I think I added safety when I use this on my ladder, but I mainly purchased the wall standoff in order to get farther out from the house & overhang to make it safer and easier to clean my gutters. I think 'I did good'.

we are painting a rental house to get it ready for sale. This is a great tool both for helping to stablize the ladder but also for allowing a greater capacity to paint around the ladder itself. It allows you to reach places that if the ladder was against the house you would not be able to reach.

I just used my Little Giant standoff today for the first time.As usual it is a well made product from Little Giant and its easy to put on but it does have its limits.It works well but if your working in a tight areas, this thing cannot be used.Little Giant should have made the arms "telescoping" so you could adjust the width.You can adjust the arms a bit but only by sliding the clamp left or right on the ladder step.This thing is about 4ft wide so you better check the width of the area your gonna be working on before you purchase this.
