It's impossible to know the quality of the product as it is a single use item. I didn't realize this when I purchased two for my home. They are here now, and as with all emergency equipment, we hope to never have to test them, but it certainly would be nice to do a test run.

This emergency escape ladder appears well built and able to do its job -- I just hope it never has to. Compact and relatively light-weight for something that will extend three-stories. Fits easily into the corner of our bedroom. Did not give it five stars as I have not seen it in action (it's a one-time use product) and it did not come with any kind of storage mount/bracket system.

This escape ladder required no assembly, just tear the plastic off and it's ready to go. Clearly designed with emergency use in mind, it mounts in seconds and opens with a simple rip of a reclosable velcro strap. This would have received a five star rating, but the white paint was runny and showed a rusty-type of discoloration.
