I have a Werner 28 foot 1A Fiberglass Ladder, I use it on a two story town house here in Maine. I have never had a problem ,with this product. I have two extension ladders, and I attached this stabilizer without a problem to my first ladder. However, the second ladder has thicker steps and rails which made installation very difficult -- I had to bend a few of the U bolts. Once installed, the stabilizer pretty much works as expected.

I have a two story house with wooden corner trim that I wanted to cover with aluminun trim. One corner has a second floor attached sunroom with an aluminum roof that extended to a corner. I needed some way to work the corner above the sunroom roof without standing on the sunroom roof as it is a potential slipping hazard. The ladder corner stabilizer allowed me to access the corner above the the sunroom to install the new aluminum trim. It is light weight and installs easily on my 30 ft. aluminum ladder. I used it on all the corners as well as on the flat side of the house. It was a great time saver and possibly life saver for me.

The Crawford-Lehigh LSC corner ladder stabilizer is what I needed for accessing difficult places on my house. All the parts were in good condition. I had a little difficult installing the end protection as the sharp aluminum edges caught on the horizontal ridges. I solved that by putting the end protection into hot water and then was able to get it on as required. This product also helps me access the roof without placing the ladder against the gutters.

Like most stabilizers of this type it has it's limitations. Overall the quality was good and installation is straight forward, though as I mentioned above it is not versatile enough for corner applications.

I was terrified working up any ladder over 3 feet in height. Adding this stbilizer really gives the ladder a solid feel and now I feel confident climbing to the top of my 28 foot ladder. I havn't used the stabilizer on a roof yet, just against brick and aluminum siding. Once in position, it does not move at all. It takes seconds to install or take off. The only negative is the relatively narrow span of the product. It just about spans across my smallest windows. I will have to find a different product for my larger windows. The weight can also make it more difficult to maneuver the ladder since it becomes top heavy. Definately a 2 man job. No regrets however, It's allowed me to do things I did not think I was capable of.

My home rests on a hillside and, with a partial daylight basement, rises three-stories up from the backyard. After 10-years in what was a new home, the caulking around my windows began to fail and needed replacing. Unfortunately, I could not reach the ladders on the side of my house because of the slope. I purchases this item and installed it onto my Louisville fiberglass ladder (model L-3022-24). This ladder has an aluminum footing that did require use of a handheld grinder to remove some rivets and other material (as explained in the installation instructions), but the Universal Level-Ett DM101 Ladder Stabilizer fit it just fine. It took me about one hour to install, and it worked exactly as advertised. Now that I have it, I've decided to paint my house myself. I consider it a very worthwhile investment.

Nice product. Solidly constructed and easy to use. I'm not sure why, but these didn't fit my aluminum Werner ladder as well as I thought they would. I mean, Werner makes the most common extension ladder around, don't they?



I removed the stock feet from the ladder and commenced the install. Instructions state that the stabilizers should be mounted flush with the base of the ladder. However, the lowest rung on the ladder prevented the brackets for being flush. Where the bottom of the bracket should have aligned with the bottom of the ladder, there was not enough ladder material to drill 2 holes for the lower bolts. I thought about attempting to modify the ladder, but in the end I decided to grind off a bit of material from the underside portion of the stabilizer bracket where it was hitting the low rung on the ladder. The brackets lined up fine after that.



Extra care is needed when drilling the holes for the brackets. My aluminum ladder had some ridges that made it difficult to put the drill bit right were I wanted. I recommend c-clamping the bracket in place, carefully mark the hole locations, and then use a smaller drill bit to create a pilot hole. Line up the bracket on the pilot holes and you can then make corrections once the larger hole is drilled. It also makes drilling the large hole easier when you can use the pilot hole as a guide. Took some extra effort, but all-in-all, I'm pleased.

The levelers may indeed meet OSHA minimum standards, but there is no official OSHA logo on the product, which should indicate the necessary independent testing, so save the old fixed feet you removed from your ladder if you wish to restore compliance.



The levelers are indeed easy to install, though some ladders have a riveted bracket that needs to be drilled out and removed.



Quality looks quite excellent.

I bought this product several years ago from Sears and was using it on a 32-ft 2-piece fiberglass ladder that I had also installed the Werner leveler to it. As I was struggling with the monster that I had created, the Quick Click Stabilizer fell off from high up on me and deeply cut my arm. I still have the scar after maybe 4 or 5 years. I am lucky that it did not hit me in the head. Again the idea is good but don't over do it like I did. Use it on shorter ladders that you can handle easily and be careful, wear hard hat.

I needed to straddle a large set of window at the top of my 2 story front hallway. The stabilizer did the trick. The soft rubber pads were very gentle to the fist coat of paint and I suspect would hold up outside as well against more rugged materials.

I received the product and had it installed on my ladder in minutes. The quickclick is a wonderful design and the construction is light and sturdy. The amazon write-up mentioned that the ladder could be placed on the roof itself. Well, this did not work for me. The attachment goes on the top two rungs of the ladder and the supports are basically perpendicular to the ladder. This is great for a wall but not too good for roofs. I have a steep roof (5/12) but still I couldn't get the angle to land the rubber supports on the roof. The gutter kept getting on the way. The problem was exacerbated by the fact that the attachment has a bulky and sharp support on the second rung which can easily damage your gutter if you are not careful. Good product but I wish the attachment could be angled to be placed on the roof.

I was originally skeptical about buying something that seemed to add on to what a ladder already does, which is lean against a building.



But this gadget really stabilizes the ladder, and when you're 25 feet up, it makes it a lot less uncomfortable. It goes on and off quickly, and is wide enough to fit around most windows. I can't find any negatives with this tool.
